PineScripter is a developer productivity tool that helps you write, refine, and understand TradingView Pine Script code. It is built for the same reason an editor or code assistant is built: to save time and reduce the friction of writing code. Nothing produced by PineScripter is financial, investment, or trading advice, and nothing on this website should be interpreted that way.
We do not recommend trades, predict markets, endorse strategies, or suggest that any code will be profitable. You are the sole author of your trading logic and the sole decision-maker for how you use it. PineScripter simply translates your instructions into code.
PineScripter is powered by AI large language models running in the background. Like all AI systems, these models can produce code or explanations that are incomplete, incorrect, or behave differently than you intended. Output can look correct and still contain logic errors, edge cases, or assumptions that do not match your strategy.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any code before you rely on it. Always read the generated code, backtest it thoroughly, and confirm it does what you expect before using it in any live environment.
PineScripter uses AI large language models, specialized with Pine Script context, to generate and edit code based on the instructions you provide. It is a coding assistant in the same category as general-purpose AI coding tools, focused specifically on Pine Script. It does not connect to your brokerage, place orders, manage funds, or execute trades on your behalf.
Backtests and historical results describe how a strategy would have behaved on past data. They do not predict or guarantee future outcomes. Markets change, and a strategy that performed well historically can perform poorly going forward. Past results never mean that future results will be the same, and that holds whether the result came from a simulation or from real trading.
Any backtest you run, whether inside PineScripter or on TradingView with code generated by PineScripter, is for educational and informational purposes only.
PineScripter includes a strategy simulation that replays your script against historical market data and reports what your script would have done on that data. It is our own simulation, built and computed by us. It is not TradingView's Strategy Tester, it does not run TradingView's code, and PineScripter is not affiliated with TradingView.
Every figure it reports can be inaccurate. It is an approximation produced by software, it may contain errors, and it may differ from what the same script would do on a live market or on any other platform. Results can diverge for several reasons: the market data we use, how price bars are built and therefore which bars your script sees, and the assumptions the simulation makes about when an order fills, at what price, and with what costs applied. It models nothing that happens inside a price bar, applies only the commission and slippage you set, and models no order book, so an order always fills in full at the modelled price however large it is.
Please do not read a simulated figure as a statement of fact, and do not use one as the basis of a financial decision. We give no warranty that any simulated result, statistic, trade list, or equity curve is accurate or complete, and we promise no parity with the results any other platform produces for the same script.
Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of your capital. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose, and you should consult a qualified, licensed financial professional before making any financial decisions. PineScripter and its team accept no responsibility for any trading losses or financial outcomes resulting from code generated through the service.
The service and all output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not control third-party platforms such as TradingView, and compatibility or availability may change at any time. For full terms governing your use of the service, see our Terms of Service.
