This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.
When You use the Service, We process the prompts, trading logic descriptions, code, and any images You submit in order to generate and refine Pine Script code. We may retain this content to operate, secure, and improve the Service, as described in this Privacy Policy.
The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence model providers to generate code and explanations. The prompts and related content You submit are transmitted to these providers solely to produce Your requested output. We do not sell this content, and we instruct our providers to process it only to deliver the Service. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy practices of these providers. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information within Your prompts, as prompts are processed to generate outputs.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
We retain Personal Data as long as necessary for stated purposes and legal obligations. Data may be processed in locations outside your jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to protect data and only transfer to recipients with appropriate safeguards.
You may request deletion or correction of your data through the support widget on our site. Some data may be retained as required by law.
We may disclose Personal Data when required by law or in response to valid legal requests, and to protect rights, safety, and security.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We use commercially acceptable means to protect Personal Data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our Service is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Our Service may contain links to external sites not operated by us. Review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires it, we process Personal Data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (providing the Service and your account); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; your consent (where requested, for example for certain communications); and compliance with our legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not sell or share the prompts, code, or other content you submit to the Service. We do not use the content you submit to train third-party AI models, and we instruct our model providers to process it only to deliver your requested output. Under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your Personal Data, including the right to access, correct, update, or delete it; to object to or restrict certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR, and residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support widget on our site. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
PineScripter can draw your script on a chart and simulate a strategy script against historical market data. This section explains what those two features store about you, for how long, and where the work happens.
Simulation results and your chart settings are both stored against Your Account.
Both are included in an export of Your Account data, and both are deleted when Your Account is deleted.
We keep a simulation result for 30 days after the run finishes.
At the end of those 30 days the result is deleted permanently, together with any stored file holding its trade list and account-value series. Deletion is final and a deleted result cannot be recovered or restored, by you or by us. Nothing else is affected: your script, your chat history, and your chart settings are not part of this and are not deleted with the result.
You can run the simulation again at any time to produce a fresh result, and you can download a result to your own device before the 30 days are up if you want to keep it.
Before your first simulation, we show you a notice explaining what a simulated result is and is not, and you have to confirm that you have read it. When you confirm, we store a record of that against Your Account. The record holds two things and nothing else: the version identifier of the notice you were shown, and the date and time at which you confirmed it.
We hold it for one purpose, which is to be able to show which version of that notice was displayed and accepted before a simulation ran. It is never used for marketing, profiling, or analytics, and it is not shared with anyone unless we are legally required to produce it.
This record is kept if Your Account is deleted, because it is our evidence that the notice was shown and accepted.
Where Your Account is deleted, the record is kept for seven years from the date on which you confirmed the notice, and is then deleted. During that period it continues to hold only the notice version and the confirmation date and time.
Your script is not sent anywhere to be run. Pine Script execution and simulation both happen inside your own browser, on your own device.
No processor receives or stores the text of your script for the purpose of running or simulating it. Your script is still saved to Your Account so that you can return to it, and it is still sent to our AI model provider when you ask us to write or edit code for you, as described earlier in this Policy. Neither of those is part of running the script or simulating it.
The historical market data the chart and the simulation need is requested by our own server from Binance, and not by your browser, so your browser makes no request to Binance and Binance receives nothing that identifies you.
These features add no processor to the ones the Service already uses. In particular they add nothing beyond Clerk, which handles sign-in; Convex, which hosts the database and our server functions; Dodo Payments, which handles payments; and OpenRouter, which routes requests to AI model providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post updates on this page and update the date above. We may notify you by email and/or a prominent notice before changes take effect when appropriate.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can reach out through the support widget on our site.
Every version we publish stays available at its own address, so any change between two versions can be checked.
